Wills and Probate

Our Wills and Probate Team provide a personal service to all our clients and provide specialist advice on many issues. We offer straightforward and practical advice while dealing with the matter in a sensitive way. We understand that this can be a very distressing time for our clients and we aim to remove the pressures and stresses placed upon our clients and their families as much as possible. We are happy to meet clients to take instructions at our office, at their home, at care homes or anywhere else that is convenient. We aim to ensure the best provisions are made for our clients and their families for now and in the future.

Our specialist team of solicitors offer a wide range of services including:

• Probate and Administration of Estates 
• Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 claims

Our Fees

The costs will depend on the complexity and individual circumstances of each case but will start from £750 plus VAT and on average you can expect these to be about 1% of the total value of the estate.

We charge for this work on a time-spent basis at the hourly rate of £250 plus VAT.

Disbursements

The following costs will also apply:-

• Probate fee - £273 plus £1.50 for each additional copy 
• Swearing of the Oath - £7
